Pre-Separation Briefing (Mandatory)
Ideally, 6 months prior to separation; one year prior to retirement. MANDATORY, at least 90 days prior to separation or retirement (Public Law 101-510). Spouse is encouraged to attend. Call A&FRC at 247-2246 to schedule Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Workshop (Optional)
This 4-day workshop helps you prepare for the many military to civilian transition challenges. Workshop is presented by the Department of Labor, along with other key agencies. Topics cover: preparation for transition, job search skills, resume writing, record keeping, veterans benefits, more. Recommended at least one year prior to separation or retirement.
