Call 509-247-2246 for date/time/location Spouse Employment There is good information in this site for all aspects of employment and job search. Two that specifically relate to relocation are Relocation and Job Search and Unemployment Eligibility. Spouses may find these and additional articles and links under Careers Military Spouses Residency Relief Act (MSRRA) Amends the Servicemember's Civil Relief Act (SCRA). Among other things, the SCRA gives servicemembers the ability to maintain a home of residency, regardless of placement by military orders, which has given servicemembers income tax relief and also made a change in driver's licenses and vehicle registration unnecessary. The bill gives military spouses the same benefits as they relocate with their active-duty spouses. This legislation does not apply to dependent children. The law is complicated and fact specific, and because its effect will depend on the interpretations of each state, spouses are encouraged to seek free, confidential advice from a legal assistance office.
